Sweeney Rogers Geraghty is pleased to announce that John Murphy has been promoted to the position of General Manager of the Upstate New York office. John will assume immediate responsibility for all aspects of the Upstate operation while maintaining responsibility for key product lines and customers throughout SRGI’s entire trading area. John will manage commercial and residential sales efforts while maintaining manufacturer relationships and providing technical support.
John grew up in Syracuse, New York and earned his degree in Mathematics from State University of New York Potsdam. He began his career in the HVAC industry in 1993 initially working as a commercial HVAC plan and spec rep in Syracuse calling on commercial contractors and engineers, providing material take offs, and producing building bid packages. In 2000 he joined Frederick Geraghty Inc. in Franklin MA as a Territory Manager where he honed his skills in the HVAC and water heating marketplace as an outside salesperson, trainer, and support technician for customers in the New England market. He was most recently the Business Development Manager for key SRGI product lines in New England and Upstate NY.
John and his family will be relocating back to his hometown area of Syracuse, NY. Please join us in congratulating him and wishing him the best of luck in his new position.
