Sweeney Rogers Geraghty (SRGI) of Raynham, Massachusetts and Syracuse, NY is pleased to announce the acquisition of J.C. Mottinger Associates (Mottinger) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania effective May 1, 2023. Mottinger will continue to serve its traditional markets as Mottinger, a division of SRGI. The acquisition allows for the positioning of additional resources that will drive growth by providing the services, market knowledge, and product expertise required of today’s manufacturer rep firms.
Both companies have been operating as Manufacturers Representative’s for over 60 years and have enjoyed a strong industry relationship between organizations during that time. According to SRGI president Peter Sweeney, “The acquisition of a successful and well-respected 70-year-old company like J. C. Mottinger Associates, positions both organizations to meet the challenges of the ever-changing and more demanding hydronic and HVAC markets, and the manufacturers we serve”. Both organizations acknowledge there will be incremental change over time, but initially, all existing contacts, tools, and services remain as is.
